Reminder: PlanDoTrack FAcilitator Training Starts on Tuesday July 9th (24 CCEs)

I am super-excited to be kicking off the Inaugural Facilitator Training for my 2019 book, PlanDoTrack.

Geared for those coaches who work with virtual entrepreneurs, remote teams and virtual leaders, this training will equip you with knowledge and resources to support and coach these clients around productivity issues.

The training program has now been approved for 24 hours of Continuing Coach Education by the ICF (19 hours of core competencies, and 5 hours of resource development).
The live virtual training sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9 - 12 noon Eastern/New York via zoom on July 9, 10, 23, 24, 30 and 31.

Are your clients looking to plan for the fall? You bet they are!

What would it be like to have a book you could provide for them to refer to throughout the year, and incorporate into your already powerful processes as a coach?

This July I’ll be working with a select group of coaches who will be taking PlanDoTrack out into the world with their clients via coaching sessions, retreats, webinars and workshops.

As a PDT facilitator:

You’ll be able to coach using the dozens of productivity, and self-development tools included in the workbook;

You’ll get a deeper dive into the 28 different planning tools included in the book

You’ll have access to a library of resources to support conversations around personal development, productivity and business issues

You’ll have access to a community of others through our own Private Mighty Network

I've held a couple of calls in the last few weeks to introduce the training including:
The Introductory PDT Facilitator Training call
A Frequently Asked Questions call

Training starts Tuesday July 9th at 2 pm ET and you’ll wrap up by July 31st

Get all the detailshere or if you are ready to go sign  up and reserve your spot

I hope that you will join us - it's going to be a great month of conversations and learning! Plus 24 hours of CCES.

Best wishes,
Jennifer

12 Tips for Engaging Your Virtual Audience

Keeping Your Clients Engaged Virtually is a key consideration when leading phone, or web based programs. Without the visual cues of the face to face world, it's difficult to know what participants are "up to" throughout the process.

As more and more trainers, coaches and speakers move to the virtual environment, as well as professionals leading meetings in their virtual environment, it's important to give thought about the envrionment you are creatin virtually. Here are 12 quick tips to keep your virtual audience more engaged.

12 Key Ways to engage participants in the virtual world:
- Start your call with a check –in so everyone is heard
- Take a pause every 7-10 minutes and see how everyone is doing
- Vary your approach in delivery – ask questions, provide a mini-lecture/teach piece
- Ask participants questions
- Complete short exercises by phone (i.e. Mindmapping, vision question, drawing)
- Note who is contributing and who is not
- Check in regularly with how the pulse of the group is going
- Start on time and end on time. Creating an environment where you see that your time is valued, helps to keep people on track
- Provide a clear direction of where you are going
- Create ground rules at start
- Encourage everyone to be off mute and engaged throughout the call
- Look at different roles group members can take (time keeper, scribe etc)

What additional tips or approaches do you have for keeping people engaged during phone based, or web-based, calls?

Have a great start to the week!

Warm regards,
Jennifer

The Essential Guide to Training Global Audiences

I'm really excited to announce that a book I contributed to has just been published by Pfeiffer. If you are a trainer who works with global audiences, I hope that you will consider picking up your own copy of The Essential Guide to Training Global Audiences. It's been written by LuAnn Irwin and Renie McClay (ISBN: 978-0787996611)

Several of you may know that in my early years as a trainer, I spent 12 years working (and training) globally, primarily across Central and South America, the Caribbean and Europe. I worked in the realm of cross cultural training and virtual training, before it gained it's current popularity and necessity.

I hope that you will enjoy the book - I do believe it is a keeper! You'll also find some wonderful tips for working with virtual teams as well as specifics for delivering training in different countries.

Given the number of requests that I am getting from corporate clients, as well as trainers and coaches, keep your eyes open for a new column here on virtual team facilitation tips. This will compliment other tips on virtual teams I provide to managers over at my BizToolkit blog.

Warm wishes,
Jennifer
