Day 12 of 12 Days of Holiday Goodies - The Business Case for Group and Team Coaching

We've made it to the end of the 12 days of holidays and I hope that you have enjoyed the 12 different
resources I have made available to you. I'll do a recap next week on the different offers but you can find them all here. Over the last 12 days I've included links to articles, videos and audios to support you with your group and team programming. If you enjoyed them, I hope that it will spark you to join me during 2017 for one of our ongoing programs (January programs listed below)

Today's final goodie rounds out the others. This week we've looked at vision, marketing tips, exercises you might want to bring in, and other.

Today's resource link is to the Spring 2016 call I did on building a business case for group and team coaching. It runs for 33 minutes, and you can access it over at the Learning Lab and Design Studio portal here. For those who are considering how to describe your work, or what the benefits are, I hope that you will find it useful.

This call is reflective of the many topics we explore at the Learning Lab and Design Studio - a year long group that will run throughout 2017. If you are eager to put attention and focus around moving your coaching business forward in 2017, and want a collaborative group environment for learning, join me twice a month on Fridays from 8-8:45 am Eastern/Toronto for the live calls at the Learning LAb and Design Studio. There's now dozens of special articles, videos and audios from this year's LLDS which you'll be able to access during your time at the Lab. As I mentioned a few days ago on Day 7 some of our initial 2017 theme and focus areas for the two monthly group calls at the lab will be around setting your 2017 goals, team building, creating on-demand programming, virtual learning foundations, coaching skills and creating awareness. Learn more here or Download a program brochure here.

Thanks again for joining me this year for the 12 days of Holidays. Hope that you are your loved ones have a great holiday season,
Jennifer

Day 11 of 12 Days of Holidays - Creating Your Vision for the New Year

Over the last three Decembers a number of coaches and business owners have participated in the Inner Biz Leader Virtual Business Planning Retreat. Since 2007 I have been leading LIVE virtual retreats where over the course of a day or a series of days, business owners and coaches gain clarity and start to breathe life into their business visions.

For many of us this month's coaching focus has been on creating a 2017 vision with our clients, but
have you taken time to create yours?

Today I wanted to make available an audio post on creating your vision for yourself. This is a 10 minute audio. I'd invite you over the next few weeks to grab a pen, a notebook (or computer) and take some time to dream and create.

Click here to listen into the Audio post on VISION.

Why is it important to take time to create your own vision for the new year?
  • Developing a vision helps to create clarity on what we want to create in our business;
  • A vision helps us decide where we want to focus and where we don't want to - this can help us say YES and NO;
  • A powerful vision can help us through the ebbs and flows of business;
  • From our vision comes our goals - large and strategic as well as granular and immediate;
  • From our goals we can create a roadmap and break down our goals into concrete, regular action steps.

I'm also offering 50% off the on-demand Inner Biz Leader Virtual Business Planning Retreat until January 8 2017 for anyone who wants to benefit from this seven hour self-directed retreat program. You'll have access to different worksheets each hour, as well as audio and video posts. It's an ideal time of year, and the on-demand format allows you to undertake te program and the planning work at your own pace. You can do it in one day, or seven!

The regular price is $197 US and I'm offering a 50% discount until January 8 2017 to any readers from this blog that use the coupon code 2017vision  at the main registration page, or this special link.

I'll be hosting a one day 2017 vision planning session LIVE on Wednesday January 11 th from 8- 4 pm ET. You'll find more details and the registration link here. Registrants will receive ongoing access to the on-demand program, as well as the one day with me. Cost for this live option is $497 US. Email me for a 50% discount link on the live/virtual option by December 23rd midnight ET!

Have a great Thursday,
Jennifer

Day 10 of 12 Days of Holidays: Creating Your Own On Demand Programming

One of the areas I've been involved with for several years now is creating on-demand programming. With the advent of Udemy a few years ago it opened up the possibility of creating a new revenue Teachable more than a year ago, and continue to enjoy designing new programming for different audiences. One that I have referred to already in the 12 days series is a compilation of three of the courses I designed in response to regular and frequent questions about marketing team and group program work (workshops, retreats and group coaching). This winter I've bundled together 3 programs to create the 2017 Kickstart Your Coaching Business program. This is a compilation of:
stream in my business through short video based courses.  I moved most of my courses from Udemy to my own site at
  •  the Marketing Tips for Your Group and Team Programs course - a 4 hour deeper dive into different strategies for marketing your group and team programs,
  • the Solopreneur Primer - which focuses on 12 key activities for any solopreneur business
  • The Coaching Business Builder - 12 More tips for creating and growing your coaching business
As a program bundle I'm able to offer a $100 savings for a total of $197 for the three programs.

During 2017 I'll be sharing more about creating your own on-demand programs during the month of March at the Learning Lab and Design Studio (LLDS) As some of you know, the LLDS is a group which meets throughout the year on Fridays from 8-8:45 am ET by zoom. With two calls a month we take a deeper dive into related topics to building a coaching business, and offering group and team programming. The LLDS also hosts a growing body of resources only available to LLDS members. I hope that you will consider joining us for the kick off of our 2017 programming on Friday January 13th at 8 am ET. Click here to learn more, download a schedule and reserve your spot.

In the interim, enjoy today's goodie which is an article on 10 Tips for Designing Your own Video Based Programming.- one of the monthly articles from the LLDS.

Have a great Wednesday. See you tomorrow for day 11!

Best wishes,
Jennifer

From supporting business owners to grow their businesses, to leaders who want to glean insights
about how they can be at their best, coaching is a modality which supports learning, growth and change in a sustained manner. As I look out at my own experience as a business owner and coach in the last twelve years, I can see how coaching and mentoring support - whether in a group setting or an individual context has moved my own work and focus to the next level.

Today's goodie is a discount on a twenty-five hour package of coaching support for 2017. It's geared for those coaches who want individual support throughout the year through two hours of coaching a month. Whether you want to focus on group program development, honing your skills or growing your business, this one year support package is geared to support  you on an ongoing basis throughout the year.

This special annual package includes:
  • 25 hours of coaching - taken as two hours a month throughout 2017, plus a kick off session. These are scheduled as phone calls, skype or zoom calls
  • Invitation to join me for one of my virtual retreat days, which are focused on taking action on moving your business and/or program ideas forward. Virtual retreats are currently scheduled for Thursday January 26 (1:30 - 5pm ), Thursday March 9 (1-5:30 pm ET), May 31 (1 - 5 pm ET).
  • A coaching journal to use throughout the year.
The cost for this would normally be $7600 US. Until December 31, 2016 you'll be able to save $1000 for a total of $6500 US. This can be paid in one installment of $6500 US or four installments of $1625 US four times throughout the year.

In our work with groups and teams it is important to have a variety of different activities to pull upon.

🔳

What are your favorite activities to use? Please feel free to comment below.

A couple of tips in selecting activities:
1. What is the purpose of the activity - to spark conversation, create new insights, clarify, expand, facilitate action, support goals, other?
2. How long do you have to undertake the activity?
3. Remember to leave as much time around dialogue as the actual activity itself, if you are coaching.
4. What supports/materials will you need?
5. How will this connect in with other activities or themes you are working around?
6. What pre-work is there to set people up for maximum advantage?
7. What post-work is there?

Have a great start to your week,
Jennifer
